How it works
Here, you’ll learn about the benefits of using light steel framing in modern home construction, from its strength and durability to its cost-effectiveness. Discover why this innovative building method is becoming popular in both modular and residential designs.

light gauge steel system
This image illustrates a light gauge steel system used in the construction of a home. It highlights the structural components made from G550-AZ150 steel, which is a high-strength material used for durability. The steel framing elements are broken down into key parts: the truss, joist, and wall. The truss, composed of a top chord, web, and bottom chord, supports the roof structure. The joist, also made from C-studs, provides floor support. Finally, the wall section shows the top plate, studs, and bottom plate that form the vertical structure of the building. Together, these steel components offer a strong, lightweight framework for modular homes.

The Economic Wall System uses light steel keel with insulation like glass wool or rockwool, along with gypsum board and housewrap. The Typical Wall System includes OSB board and wall cladding for a simple, standard design. The Better Insulation Wall System adds wooden strips and an XPS board for enhanced thermal insulation. Lastly, the Wall with Tile Cladding features fiber cement board, steel mesh, and ceramic tiles, providing a durable and aesthetic exterior finish with strong weather resistance. Each system caters to different insulation and cladding needs.

The Concrete Floor System includes laminated flooring, concrete, and reinforcing bars, supported by a corrugated metal deck and light steel floor trusses. The Steel Structure Floor System features laminated flooring, soundproof layers, OSB board, and glass wool insulation for enhanced comfort and acoustics. The C Shape Floor Joist uses 140 or 250 serial light gauge steel structures for storey or chassis support. Lastly, the 70 Serial Light Gauge Steel Space Grid provides a strong, durable framework for floors, commonly used for storey or chassis applications. Each system offers different levels of strength, insulation, and soundproofing.
